You can probably tell by the fact you are reading this, but we have a new website for our subdivision—GraceInAcworth.org. You can also type it as graceinacworth.org. (The capitals are not needed but make it easier to read). This site will replace the existing newsletter and provide a handy place to check on upcoming events and recent neighborhood news items. It will undoubtedly overlap our existing private group on Facebook, but that is unavoidable. Since a number of homeowners in Grace do not use Facebook, this site will provide a place for information sharing for all.

In addition to the obligatory pieces of a website, graceinacworth.org will include these sections:

  • Events – Here is where you will find neighborhood-wide events. Real soon now. And by “real soon,” I mean real soon on a geological time scale. We should start having events to publicize prior to Y3K.
  • Pictures – Just what it sounds like. A photo album of scenes in and around Grace.
  • Market Place – Here we will provide brief descriptions of items for sale. In addition, you will find short advertisements for those offering services for a fee. All listings are for and by by members of our community. If you have something to sell that might be of interest here, let me know.
  • Links – As the title suggests, this page will include some handy links for organizations and businesses. Our standard vendors (PestBan, Custom Disposal, etc.) will be listed here as well as a few businesses recommended by one or more homeowners.
  • HOA – This tab will include:
    • information from our elected representatives (once we have them) and,
    • downloadable copies of documents such as the covenants, ACC Request form, etc.

In the future a password might be added to help us keep the site secure and our information private. Until then, please only share the information and links with others living with us in Grace.

How to – This post and several others will eventually serve as a guidebook to the website and its services. If you click on the Website Guidance category, you will find helpful notes on how to use the site.

Acceptable use – Until our HOA is in operation, I will make decisions on acceptable content, etc. For example, we will not be posting items on politics, unless it is for someone’s campaign to be on the HOA board. If you have a problem with any of my decisions, feel free to create your own website 😉 If that is still not acceptable, you can see the complaint committee which will be formed sometime next year or maybe the year after.

If you are not willing to wait that long, there is always email to [email protected], the comment form at the bottom of these posts, or the contact us page on this website.

In the meantime, I hope you find it useful.

Best regards,

Chuck Storla
