You may have noticed we had the pine trees removed from the hill at the entrance to our subdivision. These pines were planted on a hill and with their shallow roots had the potential of falling and hitting our fence as they grew larger. We enjoyed a tremendous volume discount for pine tree removal as several families in the neighborhood also paid to remove their pines.  We do not feel that we will have erosion as we still have bushes and trees on the top of the hill.
There were 30 pines removed for a cost of $679.50.  In our budget, we have $1500. which covered this cost.
We also replaced a few shrubs  in front of the clubhouse so that we will have some color instead of all  green.and we had scrubs that were growing into the fence in front of the clubhouse removed to prevent damage to the fence as they would have continued to grow larger.

This cost $2050.  Our contract with RGS stated the increased fees starting in January, however RGS is not going to charge these fees until they start mowing . That meant we had $14 x 66 x 2 months = $1848 monies in landscaping  which covered most of the cost for these upgrades.
These upgrades were discussed with the board, landscape committee and finance committee to make sure we had funds to upgrade our common areas.
Thanks to our committees in  determining what we could afford.
If you would like to review the actual monthly budget , please go to www.tolleycm.com – sign in as homeowner then go to documents.in documents, go to the monthly financial report.  January’s budget is posted there. In landscaping, you will see they charged over $7000 in but that is because they were not paid for december 2020 so this is for 2 months.
