Landscaping: We received a comment asking if we would consider bagging grass clippings when our lawns are mowed. We checked with RGS and this would be quite costly based on the additional time required in our neighborhood and the disposal truck to remove the clippings. But most importantly, the clippings provide nutrients back into the Bermuda grass. If we removed the clippings, we would be required to pay for additional fertilization. At this time, we will not consider bagging the clippings.

Community notification: We received a comment suggesting we have separate meetings to discuss issues in the neighborhood. Separate meetings are difficult to organize, as many of us have medical appointments, family visits, and vacations. Specifically, it was suggested to have a pre-meeting regarding the vote for adding fish to our pond. Prior to a vote on May 1st, there will be pros/cons discussion for all to hear.

It was also suggested we have a meeting for possible board nominees to discuss their vision for our community. Nominations for new board members occur in October. The nominee must submit their bio to Tolley and then a vote occurs at the next semi-annual meeting.

Finally, it was suggested that the community be made aware of all upgrades and vote on each one. The board was elected to discuss and decide with the Finance Committee any maintenance projects, contract renewals, budget creation, and monitoring. We then notify the community of progress. Should you disagree with this process, now is an excellent time to consider becoming a future board member.
