Friday, June 28th, Josh Fuder of the UGA Extension for Cherokee County visited Grace in Acworth, met with Scott and myself and did a walk-through making suggestions on a number of issues with our landscaping that he felt should be addressed.
The landscape committee will meet shortly to discuss how to best and most economically implement the suggestions presented by Josh. As details emerge, we’ll keep you posted.
Meanwhile, one of the main points raised was that of insufficient irrigation and, as a stop gap measure, we have increased the irrigation schedule to provide more water to our landscaped areas.
In the near future you will be receiving a copy of the actual sprinkler schedule showing days, times and duration of watering for each individual home. We would ask that you check to make sure that your areas are being watered at the times scheduled. Clearly we would not ask you to be up in the middle of the night when the sprinklers are running, but please check early in the morning to see if those areas are wet. If they are not wet, please let the Landscape Committee know right away so that the failure can be addressed.
We are hopeful that with the recommended changes not only will we resolve the current issues, but prevent them from reoccurring as well as getting and keeping our green areas in great shape.
