Good morning!
Based on the analysis of soil sample taken by the UGA Lab at the request of Josh Fuder who came to pay us a visit a while back, we have scheduled the application of the equivalent of a heart-healthy smoothie for our lawn areas. It will include pH (acidity/alkalinity) adjustments and fertilizer applications where needed.
The application will be done on Wednesday, August 14th and, as before, homeowners are asked to stay off the grass for at least four (4) hours after the application is done.
Furthermore, installation of pine straw in the front and rear of homes has been approved by the Board. The areas around shrubs (and up to dry creek beds in smaller areas) are in the process of being scheduled. Better yet, the quantity ordered has been increased somewhat to allow for a thicker application. As soon as we know… you’ll know.
Little by little we are getting there and the results are starting to show in the improved appearance of our lawns and greenscapes in general. Who knows, if we keep it up maybe Grace in Acworth will eventually be featured the cover of Better Homes and Gardens!
If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please voice them! An email or a note in the suggestion box in the Clubhouse will work.
