To our Grace neighbors:
Your Board toured the neighborhood on January 10, 2023, with landscaping as our focal point. We have become concerned that certain Grace guidelines have not been adhered to, and as a result have created risk of potential damage to community property.
Of particular significance are the areas directly between homes. You may remember from your meetings with Windsong that our water collection systems reside underground in these areas. Because of this, no plantings were designed by Windsong in these areas. Roots, over time, can become large enough and strong enough to sever these pipes.
We recommend that each homeowner who has added trees and shrubs in these areas relocate them to your back yard, or simply remove them. We also recommend that the relocation be done when best for the survival of the plant. Please consult a knowledgeable source for the optimum time for each species.
Should you choose to leave these plants where you planted them, we must remind you of other Grace guidelines relating to damage to community property. You bear all costs to repair any damage to community property or neighbor’s home resulting from such plantings.
Going forward, your Board will strictly adhere to our guidelines by denying further plantings where they may interfere with sprinkler or water collection plumbing. Your cooperation is greatly respected and appreciated by your Board and your neighbors.
