The next time you go to the website, you might see an image like the one at the top of this post. It is nothing for you to worry about. It does not mean there is a problem with your computer/phone/tablet. The message is there because I had to implement an extra layer of defense on our website. Just click in the box and in a moment you will get to the site.
For the past week or so, our website has been hit with a number of attacks from one or more bad actors on the internet. They did not accomplish anything, but their persistent attacks caused a slowdown in our site’s response. To deal with this, I have turned on a feature that does an extra are-you-really-human? check. I apologize for the inconvenience, but it helps to keep the bad guys out.
If they ever do get in, there is nothing here for them to steal, but that does not stop them from trying. These folks probably have an automated setup that goes knocking on the door of every website they can find in the hopes they’ll find a vulnerable one with some value. I try to keep our site somewhat hidden, but the bad guys are very persistent.
