Say something!
A request for our homeowners and morning walkers…
We have had a couple of instances of a valve in the irrigation system getting stuck open and continuing to spew water long past the point where it should have stopped. Since this is a mechanical problem it is not within the issues that the system is capable of reporting back on via email. We need observers!
No irrigation zone should be running beyond 7:45 AM, if it is, there is a stuck valve and we ask you to please contact me preferably via text messaging so that we can make arrangements to have it shut off. (Very often Sofia, Wolfie and I are sitting on our porch as the morning walkers are going by, feel free to let me know at that time as well.)
If you happen to be an early bird or have been having a tough night and notice a discrepancy in the irrigation schedule that we provided earlier, by all means make a note of the time of the perceived error and let me know…the following morning. Keep in mind that a fluctuation of a few minutes in starting time is insignificant and does not imply a problem.
So far, after a week and a half, there have only been two problems presented by the new system. One turned out to be a non-issue really and the other a stuck valve which is mechanical problem that can (and will) happen occasionally. Arrangements are being made to replace the valve..
So far, so good.🤞
Communication With Landscape Workshop.
Our landscape company, Landscape Workshop, our Board and the Landscape Committee ask that all communication be handled through us initially and not directly with Landscape Workshop.
We have a system in place where a record is made of every landscaping issue reported. It is then tracked to completion and that record is kept for any future reference.
Landscape Workshop on the other hand asks that we present requests in a report on a weekly basis rather than in dribs and drabs which take their personnel away from a task that they may be involved in by having to look at their bleeping phone numerous times a day. Rarely would there be a request demanding immediate attention.
So, please submit your requests either by depositing them in the suggestion box at the Clubhouse or preferably by emailing to [email protected]which gets it to our HOA Secretary. Anything I receive will be forwarded to the Secretary ASAP.
For the Landscape Committee,
Len
